What is included

How we carry out light fixing and replacement
The breaker for the lighting circuit is switched off, and a tester on the terminals confirms the cable is dead before anyone touches it. The old fitting comes down and the cable ends are looked at closely: brittle insulation or a browned terminal block means the last lamp ran hot. The new fitting is fixed to the slab, a joist or a rated anchor, the conductors are terminated in a proper connector, and the earth is made off even where the old fitting left it tucked away unused.
Most of the loose lights we are called to were screwed into gypsum board with a plastic plug. They hold for a year or so, then the board crumbles around the screw and the fitting hangs on its cable.
