What is included
Grinding, honing, crystallisation and sealing for marble, travertine and terrazzo, gloss metered to 85 GU. Marble dulls because the surface is scratched and etched, not because it is dirty. We restore the stone with diamond abrasives, bring back the shine and seal it against the next spill.

How we carry out onyx stone cleaning
Onyx is used for statement pieces: backlit bar fronts, vanity tops, feature walls and the occasional floor inlay. It is a translucent calcite stone, softer than most marble, and many slabs are backed with mesh and filled with clear resin in their natural cracks. Lemon juice, vinegar, perfume and many bathroom cleaners etch it, leaving dull patches that look like water marks. Hard water spots are common on vanity tops. The supervisor checks the surface, the fills and any lighting behind it before cleaning.
Cleaning uses a pH neutral stone cleaner, warm water and soft microfibre or white pads, never scouring powder or a green abrasive pad. On backlit panels the lighting is switched off so the stone is cool and the electrics stay dry. Light etching and dullness are worked out by hand with a fine polishing compound, tested first on a small area, because heavy machine polishing can cut through a thin slab or soften the resin. Where the onyx is unsealed, a penetrating sealer goes on last.
