What is included
Carpenter services for homes, offices and shops: door repairs, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, custom joinery, wall panelling, pergolas and decking. Timber moves in Dubai. Doors swell in the humid months and shrink under constant AC, hinges pull out of board carcasses, and sun and irrigation water bleach and split outdoor wood. Our carpenters repair what can be repaired, make new pieces to measure and match veneers and finishes as closely as the material allows.
- Site measure and drawings for your approval
- Materials, finishes and hardware agreed in writing
- Made and installed by our own carpenters
- Scribed to walls and floors for a built in finish
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.

Custom Joinery in The Valley: what we plan for
The Valley by Emaar is a townhouse and villa community on the Dubai Al Ain Road, past Arabian Ranches and Dubai Silicon Oasis. Clusters such as Eden, Talia, Nima, Orania, Alana, Rivana, Kaia, Farm Gardens and Velora sit around Golden Beach, a sports village, a town centre and green parks, and new phases continue to be handed over.
The community sits on the open desert, so fine sand reaches terraces, garages and window tracks after any windy day, and AC filters clog faster than in the city. Sand loads are high here, so AC filters and coils are worth checking every few months, with a full service before summer.
Clusters are gated. Contractor visits are registered by the resident, and exterior changes need community approval.
What your quotation depends on

Questions about custom joinery in The Valley
What does custom joinery include?
Made to measure pieces designed around the room, such as media walls, bookcases, vanity units, study desks and shop counters. Chosen when standard furniture will not fit. The work includes site measure and drawings for your approval; materials, finishes and hardware agreed in writing; made and installed by our own carpenters.
How much does custom joinery cost in The Valley?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides custom joinery in The Valley?
The MELLS provides custom joinery in The Valley, Dubai. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does custom joinery take?
Typically 1 to 4 hours for most repairs, with made to measure joinery quoted per project, typically 1 to 3 weeks. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Why do my doors stick in summer?
Timber takes in moisture when the air is humid and gives it up when the AC runs for long hours, so it swells and shrinks through the year. Sealing every face of the door, including the top and bottom edges, reduces the movement.
Do you make fitted wardrobes and custom joinery?
We do. We measure on site, agree drawings, materials and hardware with you, then make and install the piece. The programme is stated in the quotation.
Does a pergola or deck need approval?
It may, depending on the community and on the size and position of the structure. This is identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork the community or master developer asks for.
How do your crews get access to The Valley?
Clusters are gated. Contractor visits are registered by the resident, and exterior changes need community approval.
Do we need Emaar approval for work in The Valley?
Cleaning, AC servicing and repairs inside the home only need the gate or building pass, which the resident arranges. Exterior painting, waterproofing, fit out and any change to the facade, roof or garden structures need a no objection certificate from Emaar or the community management in The Valley before work starts. We prepare the method statement, drawings, insurance and trade licence documents the approval asks for.
How do I choose a company for custom joinery in The Valley?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
Can you come to The Valley at short notice?
Yes. Crews travel from our Barsha Heights base, and urgent work in Dubai is attended within two hours between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
