What is included
Supply and installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi split air conditioning for Abu Dhabi homes, offices and shops, sized to the room and tested at handover. Most cooling complaints in Abu Dhabi trace back to the day the unit was fitted: a pipe run too long or kinked, lines never vacuumed, a drain with no fall. Our own technicians check the room load and the power supply first, fit the unit to the manufacturer's instructions and record the temperatures on a test run. We fit a unit we supply or one you bought, and say so plainly if it is the wrong size for the room.
- Nitrogen pressure test held and the gauge reading logged
- Vacuum pulled and held on the gauge before the valves open
- Running current and voltage compared with the nameplate
- Supply and return air temperatures recorded at each unit
How we carry out AC commissioning and testing
Before start up the pipework is pressurised with dry nitrogen and the joints are checked with leak detection fluid. The system is then evacuated with a vacuum pump until the gauge shows it is dry and holding. Electrical connections are tightened and the voltage is measured. With the unit running we record the operating pressures, the compressor current, the air temperature going onto and coming off the coil, and the condensate flowing at the drain. Controllers and safety cut outs are operated in turn.
Many units in Abu Dhabi are switched on and handed over on the strength of cold air at the grille, and the faults show in the first summer: a slow leak, a low charge, a fan wired to the wrong speed. A record of readings from day one gives every later service something to compare against. We also test systems fitted by others, for example after a fit out. The site visit checks access to each unit and whether drawings exist. Where a building or its consultant has to witness or accept the tests, that acceptance is theirs.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.

AC Commissioning and Testing in Al Rawdah: what we plan for
Al Rawdah covers the southern inland part of Abu Dhabi island, between Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street and Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street, with Zayed Sports City on its edge. Housing mixes private villas set back from the main streets, mid rise apartment and hotel apartment buildings, and the Rihan Heights towers rising above podium gardens near the sports city.
Open ground around the sports grounds and the main roads means fine sand reaches every terrace and window track. Closer to Khor Al Maqta, humidity rises in summer, and condensation forms on cold AC ducts in roof spaces and ceiling voids. Duct condensation is common in Rawdah villas. We check the insulation on ducts in the ceiling void, clean coils and drain pans, and set the system so it dries the air properly.
Rihan Heights and the apartment buildings need a work permit from building management and a service lift booking. Private villas are reached with the owner's agreement. Any approval for exterior work is identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork the community asks for.

Questions about AC commissioning and testing in Al Rawdah
What does AC commissioning and testing include?
Commissioning is the measured check that an installed system works as designed: pressure test, vacuum, electrical checks and a test run with every reading written down. The work includes nitrogen pressure test held and the gauge reading logged; vacuum pulled and held on the gauge before the valves open; running current and voltage compared with the nameplate.
What do I receive after commissioning?
A sheet for each unit showing the pressure test, the vacuum reading, the voltage, the running current and the air temperatures, with photographs. It comes with the 14 Point Standard checks signed by the supervisor.
Can you test an AC system that another company installed?
We can. Our technicians inspect the installation, run the tests and report what they find in writing with photographs. Faults are listed with the work needed to correct each one, and that work is quoted once you have seen the report.
How much does AC commissioning and testing cost in Al Rawdah?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides AC commissioning and testing in Al Rawdah?
The MELLS provides AC commissioning and testing in Al Rawdah, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does AC commissioning and testing take?
Typically half a day for one split unit, longer for ducted systems. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
What size of air conditioner does my room need?
Capacity follows the heat the room gains, not only its floor area. Glazing that faces the afternoon sun, ceiling height, a roof directly above, the number of people and any kitchen or equipment all add load. We measure and work it out at the site visit.
Can a split unit be fitted in any apartment?
No. The building decides where an outdoor unit may stand, and towers on chilled water do not take split units at all. We check the system and the building rules at the site visit and prepare the paperwork that management asks for.
Why do the lines have to be vacuumed?
Air and moisture left in the copper pipes mix with the refrigerant and the oil, which lowers cooling and wears the compressor early. A vacuum pump draws both out, and the gauge has to hold steady before the refrigerant is released into the lines.
How do your crews get access to Al Rawdah?
Rihan Heights and the apartment buildings need a work permit from building management and a service lift booking. Private villas are reached with the owner's agreement. Any approval for exterior work is identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork the community asks for.
Do you clean apartments in Rihan Heights?
Yes, by appointment. The building permit and service lift booking are arranged first, and the crew brings its own equipment in through the service entrance.
How do I choose a company for AC commissioning and testing in Al Rawdah?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Al Rawdah arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
