What is included
Supply and installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi split air conditioning for Dubai homes, offices and shops, sized to the room and tested at handover. Most cooling complaints in Dubai trace back to the day the unit was fitted: a pipe run too long or kinked, lines never vacuumed, a drain with no fall. Our own technicians check the room load and the power supply first, fit the unit to the manufacturer's instructions and record the temperatures on a test run. We fit a unit we supply or one you bought, and say so plainly if it is the wrong size for the room.
- Nitrogen pressure test held and the gauge reading logged
- Vacuum pulled and held on the gauge before the valves open
- Running current and voltage compared with the nameplate
- Supply and return air temperatures recorded at each unit
How we carry out AC commissioning and testing
Before start up the pipework is pressurised with dry nitrogen and the joints are checked with leak detection fluid. The system is then evacuated with a vacuum pump until the gauge shows it is dry and holding. Electrical connections are tightened and the voltage is measured. With the unit running we record the operating pressures, the compressor current, the air temperature going onto and coming off the coil, and the condensate flowing at the drain. Controllers and safety cut outs are operated in turn.
Many units in Dubai are switched on and handed over on the strength of cold air at the grille, and the faults show in the first summer: a slow leak, a low charge, a fan wired to the wrong speed. A record of readings from day one gives every later service something to compare against. We also test systems fitted by others, for example after a fit out. The site visit checks access to each unit and whether drawings exist. Where a building or its consultant has to witness or accept the tests, that acceptance is theirs.
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.

AC Commissioning and Testing in Al Quoz 2: what we plan for
This part of Al Quoz is residential, with private villas and older houses on open streets and a few low rise apartment buildings among them. In a villa this can be booked on its own or added to a full deep clean or repaint, which saves a second visit.
Rooftop package units and split condensers choke on coarse dust. Condenser coils are washed, filters changed or cleaned, belts and drains checked, and roof outlets cleared of the grit that washes into them.
Villas and most warehouses are on open streets with direct loading. The apartment communities run a permit and lift booking system, which The MELLS deals with. Galleries, managed warehouse compounds and working factories have their own site rules, confirmed at the site visit.

Questions about AC commissioning and testing in Al Quoz 2
What does AC commissioning and testing include?
Commissioning is the measured check that an installed system works as designed: pressure test, vacuum, electrical checks and a test run with every reading written down. The work includes nitrogen pressure test held and the gauge reading logged; vacuum pulled and held on the gauge before the valves open; running current and voltage compared with the nameplate.
What do I receive after commissioning?
A sheet for each unit showing the pressure test, the vacuum reading, the voltage, the running current and the air temperatures, with photographs. It comes with the 14 Point Standard checks signed by the supervisor.
Can you test an AC system that another company installed?
We can. Our technicians inspect the installation, run the tests and report what they find in writing with photographs. Faults are listed with the work needed to correct each one, and that work is quoted once you have seen the report.
How much does AC commissioning and testing cost in Al Quoz 2, Dubai?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size and type of the system or surface; present condition and ease of access. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides AC commissioning and testing in Al Quoz 2, Dubai?
The MELLS provides AC commissioning and testing in Al Quoz 2, Dubai. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 55 444 0084.
How long does AC commissioning and testing take?
Typically half a day for one split unit, longer for ducted systems. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
Can a split unit be fitted in any apartment?
No. The building decides where an outdoor unit may stand, and towers on chilled water do not take split units at all. We check the system and the building rules at the site visit and prepare the paperwork that management asks for.
Why do the lines have to be vacuumed?
Air and moisture left in the copper pipes mix with the refrigerant and the oil, which lowers cooling and wears the compressor early. A vacuum pump draws both out, and the gauge has to hold steady before the refrigerant is released into the lines.
Do you install air conditioners in Al Quoz 2, Dubai?
Yes. Our own technicians install split, ducted, cassette and multi split systems across Dubai. A site visit comes first, to check the room, the power supply and where the outdoor unit can go, and the scope is then put in writing.
How do your crews get access to Al Quoz 2, Dubai?
Villas and most warehouses are on open streets with direct loading. The apartment communities run a permit and lift booking system, which The MELLS deals with. Galleries, managed warehouse compounds and working factories have their own site rules, confirmed at the site visit.
Do you cover Al Khail Gate and Al Khail Heights?
Yes. Both are apartment communities with their own management. A compact team is sent, and the permit and the lift slot are requested before the visit.
How do I choose a company for AC commissioning and testing in Al Quoz 2, Dubai?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (a measured test for every job, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
Can you come to Al Quoz 2, Dubai at short notice?
Yes. Crews travel from our Barsha Heights base, and urgent work in Dubai is attended within two hours between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday.
