How we carry out water tank float valve replacement
The inlet is isolated and the water level lowered below the valve. The old valve is unscrewed from the tank wall with its backnut, and the opening is cleaned of scale so the new washer seats flat. A replacement of the same inlet size, suited to the supply pressure, is fitted with the float arm set so the water stops a clear distance below the overflow. The supply is opened, the tank is left to fill, and the technician watches the valve close fully and reopen when water is drawn off.
