What is included

How we carry out pergola and timber staining
Weathered timber is washed to remove dust and bird droppings, left to dry and sanded along the grain until fresh wood shows. Failed varnish is taken off completely, as stain cannot soak through it. A penetrating oil or a stain with UV absorbers is then brushed on, worked into the end grain and the top faces of beams, and any surplus is wiped off before it turns sticky. Two or three coats are applied at the drying interval stated on the product, and plants and paving below are sheeted.
