What is included

How we carry out wall mould treatment
The pattern tells most of the story. A grey or black bloom behind a headboard, a sofa or a full length curtain, on a wall that faces outside, points to condensation: the AC keeps the wall cold, humid air gets trapped behind the furniture and nothing moves it on. A tide mark rising from the skirting or a patch below a window points to water getting in. Moisture readings taken in a grid up the wall separate the two, and the supervisor writes down which it is before any cleaning starts.
Treatment follows a fixed order. The floor and nearby furniture are sheeted, loose spores are lifted with a HEPA vacuum, and the paint is washed with an antifungal solution and wiped down. Paint that has blistered is scraped off, and plaster that powders under the scraper is cut back to a firm edge and filled. Then the wall is left alone until the meter says it is dry, because primer over damp plaster peels. Stain blocking primer and anti mould paint finish the wall where that has been agreed.
