What is included
Grinding, honing, crystallisation and sealing for marble, travertine and terrazzo, gloss metered to 85 GU. Marble dulls because the surface is scratched and etched, not because it is dirty. We restore the stone with diamond abrasives, bring back the shine and seal it against the next spill.
- Diamond grinding to remove scratches and lippage
- Honing through progressive grits
- Polishing or crystallisation to the agreed sheen
- Stain and etch mark treatment
- Impregnating sealer
- Gloss meter readings, five points per room
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Survey and diagnosis. A technician inspects the system or surface, takes readings and photographs, and explains what was found in plain language.
- Written quotation. You receive a written quotation against a defined scope before any work starts. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately.
- Protected, supervised work. The work area is protected and isolated, and the job is carried out by our own technicians under a named supervisor.
- Testing. Every job ends with a measured test suited to the discipline, so the result is a reading and a photograph and not an opinion.
- Report and warranty. The completed report reaches you within the hour. Any failed point is put right free of charge within 48 hours.

Granite Polishing in Al Quoz: what we plan for
Al Quoz lies between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road and has two characters. Al Quoz 1 to 4 are residential, with private villas, older houses and some low rise apartment buildings. The four Industrial Areas hold warehouses, workshops, showrooms, factories and staff accommodation. Within them, Alserkal Avenue and the Creative Zone have turned warehouses into galleries, studios, cafes and offices. Al Khail Gate and Al Khail Heights are large apartment communities on the Al Khail Road side.
Industrial dust is the constant here. Cement, stone cutting, vehicle workshops and heavy lorries on open yards put a coarse grey dust in the air, and it settles on roofs, shutters, skylights and AC units. Homes near Sheikh Zayed Road or Al Khail Road get an oily traffic film on top of it. Rooftop package units and split condensers choke on coarse dust. Condenser coils are washed, filters changed or cleaned, belts and drains checked, and roof outlets cleared of the grit that washes into them.
Villas and most warehouses are on open streets with direct loading. The apartment communities run a permit and lift booking system, which The MELLS deals with. Galleries, managed warehouse compounds and working factories have their own site rules, confirmed at the site visit.
What your quotation depends on
A quotation for granite polishing in Al Quoz follows a site visit. The supervisor looks at the points listed here and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before any work begins. Once you accept it, nothing is added on the day.
- Size and type of the system or surface
- Present condition and ease of access
- Parts and materials specified
- One visit or a retained contract
