What is included

How we carry out LED strip and cove lighting
The cove is measured and the total length of strip is added up, because that figure decides the driver. We size the driver with headroom so it never runs at its limit. Aluminium channel is fixed along the cove first, the strip is pressed into it, and joints are soldered or made with proper connectors. Long runs are fed from both ends or from the middle so the far end does not fade. The driver sits in a ventilated spot behind a hatch or inside joinery, never sealed into the ceiling.
Strip stuck straight onto gypsum or timber has nowhere to shed its heat. The adhesive lets go, the strip droops out of the cove, and the diodes shift colour in patches. A driver loaded to its full rating in a warm void is the other common failure. Voltage drop shows as a strip that is bright at one end and dull at the other. The site visit checks the cove depth, whether the strip will be seen directly or only as a glow, and where the driver can live.
