What is included

How we carry out LED lighting upgrade
Every room is surveyed and the fittings are counted by type. Some take a straight lamp swap. Low voltage halogen spots are different: their old transformers expect a heavy load, and an LED lamp draws so little that the transformer flickers or hums, so it is replaced with an LED driver or the fitting is changed for a mains voltage one. Fluorescent battens and panels are changed complete, since a new tube in old control gear rarely lasts. Dimmers are tried against the new lamps before we leave.
Halogen downlights throw a lot of heat into the room and the ceiling void, which the AC then has to remove, so in Abu Dhabi the saving shows on the cooling as well as the lighting. The usual complaint after a careless upgrade is a room in several shades of white, because the lamps were bought in batches with different colour temperatures.
