What is included
Degreasing of every surface, appliance and cabinet interior, with food contact surfaces ATP tested. Cooking oil travels. It coats the hood, the cabinet tops and the wall behind the cooker, and it holds dust. We strip the grease, clean inside every unit and appliance and test food contact surfaces so the kitchen is hygienically clean and not just shiny.

How we carry out waste disposal unit cleaning
Most of the smell from a waste disposal unit comes from the rubber splash guard at the top. Its underside collects a grey film of food and grease that never gets rinsed. The unit is switched off at the wall isolator before anything else, and nobody puts a hand into the chamber, even with the power off. The splash guard is scrubbed on both sides with a stiff brush and a degreaser, or lifted out where the model allows, and the rim of the sink opening is cleaned at the same time.
The grinding chamber is cleaned by the unit itself. With the power back on and cold water running, a few handfuls of ice and coarse salt are fed in and ground, which scours the walls and the grinding ring. A few slices of lemon follow for the smell. Drain unblockers, bleach and caustic products are not used, because they attack the seals and the metal inside and can splash back. If the unit hums without turning, leaks underneath or trips the power, it is left off and passed to our own plumbers.
How it works

- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.
