What is included
Curtains steamed on their tracks and blinds cleaned slat by slat, without the cost and risk of taking them down. Curtains filter the dust that comes through every window and balcony door. We clean them where they hang, so there is no shrinkage, no rehanging and no bare windows.
- Face fabric, lining and interlining tested separately
- Light soiling steamed and extracted on the track with little moisture
- Heavy or stained curtains taken off site and cleaned to the care label
- Linings weakened by sun reported before cleaning starts
How it works
The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.
- Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.

Lined and Interlined Curtain Cleaning in Corniche Road: what we plan for
The residential stretch of Corniche Road is a line of apartment towers facing the beach and the open sea, from Etihad Towers and Nation Towers at the western end to buildings such as Al Reef Tower, Bel Ghailam Tower, Wave Tower and Saraya One further along. Homes run from studios to large penthouses, many with full height glazing and balconies over the water.
Wind off the Gulf carries salt and fine sand straight onto Corniche facades and balconies. Glass loses its clarity within a week, aluminium frames pit, and balcony drains clog with sand. Upper floors catch strong wind, so sliding doors and their seals wear faster and let dust through.
Every tower on the Corniche needs a work permit from building management and a booked service lift before work starts. Parking for service vans is limited, so loading times are agreed with the building. These rules are identified at the site visit, and we prepare the paperwork the building asks for.

Questions about lined and interlined curtain cleaning in Corniche Road
What does lined and interlined curtain cleaning include?
Lined and interlined curtains have two or three layers that shrink at different rates, so face fabric, lining and interlining are each tested before a method is chosen. The work includes face fabric, lining and interlining tested separately; light soiling steamed and extracted on the track with little moisture; heavy or stained curtains taken off site and cleaned to the care label.
How much does lined and interlined curtain cleaning cost in Corniche Road?
We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size of the property and number of rooms; condition, and how long since the last deep clean. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.
Who provides lined and interlined curtain cleaning in Corniche Road?
The MELLS provides lined and interlined curtain cleaning in Corniche Road, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 58 656 3001.
How long does lined and interlined curtain cleaning take?
Typically 2 to 4 hours for most homes. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.
How often should curtains be cleaned?
Once or twice a year in Abu Dhabi, and more often near the coast or next to construction.
Do you take the curtains down?
No. They are cleaned in place, which avoids shrinkage and rehanging. Heavily soiled or lined curtains can be taken for an off site wash if needed.
Is steam safe for blackout and silk curtains?
Blackout linings are cleaned at low temperature. Silk and velvet are cleaned with low moisture methods after a test.
Do you arrange the building permit in Corniche Road?
Yes. Most buildings ask contractors for a work permit, trade licence, insurance and staff IDs, and a service lift booking. We submit all of it for you.
How often should a sea facing apartment be cleaned?
Balcony glass and frames on the Corniche benefit from a rinse and clean every few weeks. A full deep clean every few months stops salt and sand building up in tracks and seals.
How do I choose a company for lined and interlined curtain cleaning in Corniche Road?
Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (14 Point Standard signed by the supervisor, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.
How are visits to Corniche Road arranged?
Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
