What is included
Curtains steamed on their tracks and blinds cleaned slat by slat, without the cost and risk of taking them down. Curtains filter the dust that comes through every window and balcony door. We clean them where they hang, so there is no shrinkage, no rehanging and no bare windows.

How we carry out blind repair and restringing
A blind is taken down from its brackets and laid flat, since most repairs cannot be done properly at the window. On a venetian, the old lift cord is used to pull the new one through the slats and the headrail lock, and a broken ladder is replaced along its full length so the slats sit level. Roman blinds are restrung through their rings and the cord lock or sidewinder is checked. Roller blinds get a new clutch, chain or spring as needed, and the fabric is squared on the tube so it rolls straight.
Cords perish in sunlight. Polyester lift cord on a blind in direct sun goes chalky and snaps at the point where it turns through the headrail, often on several blinds in the same room within months of each other. Fine dust in a cord lock stops it gripping, and a roller tube that sags across a wide window makes the cloth track off and fray at the edge. At the site visit each blind is operated fully, the make and sizes are noted, and slats or fabric too sun damaged to justify repair are pointed out.
How it works

- Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
- Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
- Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
- Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.
