What is included

Carpet and rug cleaning by fibre. Wool, silk, viscose and synthetic each get their own chemistry and drying time. A hand knotted silk rug and a nylon office carpet have nothing in common except that both hold dust. We identify the fibre and construction first, then choose between shampoo, hot water extraction and low moisture methods so colours stay true and the pile recovers.

How we carry out berber and loop pile carpet cleaning

In a loop pile carpet each tuft is a loop that runs into the next, so one caught loop can pull a ladder across the room. Beater bar vacuums, rotary brushes and pets' claws are the usual causes. The technician vacuums with suction only heads and walks the carpet first to find snags already there, which are photographed and shown to you. Wool Berbers and olefin or nylon loop carpets behave differently in water, so the fibre is confirmed before any solution is mixed, using an offcut where one has been kept.

Cleaning uses gentle agitation only. Olefin loop carpets hold oily soil and respond well to hot water extraction after a pre spray; wool Berbers are cleaned cooler with a wool safe solution and as little water as possible, since wool loops can shrink or brown if over wetted. Spots are blotted with white towels and tamped straight down into the pile with a soft brush, never scrubbed across it. Loops that were snagged before cleaning are trimmed level with sharp scissors, not pulled, so the run goes no further.

How it works

The same method on every job, so the result does not depend on who is on shift.

  1. Site visit and written quotation. A supervisor visits, measures and records every room, surface and extra. The written quotation that follows sets out the scope, with no hourly meter and nothing added on the day.
  2. Protect and prepare. Lifts, floors and furniture are protected and delicate finishes are logged on a surface register before any product is opened.
  3. Dry before wet, top before bottom. Dust is lifted with HEPA filtered vacuums from ceilings and fittings downwards. Each zone is then wet cleaned with chemistry matched to its finish.
  4. Detail work and floors. Tracks, switches, skirtings, handles and glass are finished by hand. Floors are machine scrubbed last so nothing is walked back in.
  5. Inspection and report. The supervisor signs all fourteen checks, photographs the result and sends you the report within the hour.

Berber and Loop Pile Carpet Cleaning in Khalifa City: what we plan for

Khalifa City is mostly large private villas built plot by plot, many of them extended over the years with a majlis, staff quarters or a second house on the same land. Khalifa City A is the established part, with apartment developments such as Al Rayyana and Etihad Plaza. Khalifa City B, now also called Shakhbout City, is newer and lower density, and Al Merief is a district of private villa plots.

Open plots and building sites between the homes keep sand and cement dust in the air, and it settles in courtyards, on roof terraces and inside AC return grilles. Roof water tanks are exposed to full sun, and the hard desalinated supply scales up heaters and mixer taps quickly.

Most villas are on open streets, so the crew parks at the gate and works with the owner or the house staff. Apartment buildings ask for a permit and a lift booking. Any outside work that may need the community or municipality to agree is identified at the site visit.

What your quotation depends on

A quotation for berber and loop pile carpet cleaning in Khalifa City follows a site visit. The supervisor looks at the points listed here and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before any work begins. Once you accept it, nothing is added on the day.

Questions about berber and loop pile carpet cleaning in Khalifa City

What does berber and loop pile carpet cleaning include?

Loop pile and Berber carpets snag and run when a loop is caught, so they are cleaned with tools that have no beater bar, light agitation and careful spot work. The work includes vacuuming with suction only heads, the beater bar off or removed; existing snags and pulled loops photographed before work starts; low agitation cleaning by extraction or encapsulation to suit the fibre.

What should I do if a loop in my Berber carpet is pulled?

Do not pull it. Snip it level with the surrounding pile using sharp scissors so the run stops there. Our technician trims any snagged loops found during the visit the same way and points out longer runs that need a repair.

Why does a Berber carpet sometimes go brown after cleaning?

That is browning, where too much water carries soil or tannins up from the backing as the carpet dries slowly. It comes from over wetting. Moisture is kept low on wool loop carpets and they are dried with fans and the AC to avoid it.

How much does berber and loop pile carpet cleaning cost in Khalifa City?

We do not publish prices, because no two jobs are the same. The main factors: size of the property and number of rooms; condition, and how long since the last deep clean. Book a site visit: a supervisor from The MELLS looks at the work and you receive a written quotation with a defined scope before anything begins.

Who provides berber and loop pile carpet cleaning in Khalifa City?

The MELLS provides berber and loop pile carpet cleaning in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. The work is carried out by people The MELLS employs directly, under a named supervisor, 08:00 to 19:00, Monday to Saturday. To arrange it, book a site visit on this page or call +971 58 656 3001.

How long does berber and loop pile carpet cleaning take?

Typically 1 to 3 hours for most homes, with carpets dry in 4 to 8 hours. The time for your property is confirmed with the quotation.

How often should carpets be cleaned in Abu Dhabi?

Every six months in homes, and every three months in offices or homes with pets and children. Sand is abrasive and wears the pile if it stays in.

Do you clean rugs at home or take them away?

Most rugs are cleaned at your home. Delicate silk and antique pieces can be collected for a controlled wash and returned.

Will cleaning shrink or fade my wool rug?

Not when it is cleaned correctly. We use wool safe products, cool water and controlled drying, and we test the dyes first.

How do your crews get access to Khalifa City?

Most villas are on open streets, so the crew parks at the gate and works with the owner or the house staff. Apartment buildings ask for a permit and a lift booking. Any outside work that may need the community or municipality to agree is identified at the site visit.

Can you work on a villa compound with several houses on one plot?

Yes. Each house and the shared areas are scoped separately at the site visit, then cleaned or serviced in the order you choose, over one or several days.

How do I choose a company for berber and loop pile carpet cleaning in Khalifa City?

Ask four things: who employs the people who will come, whether the scope is written down before work starts, how the result is checked, and what happens if something is missed. The MELLS uses its own staff, quotes in writing after a site visit, checks every job (14 Point Standard signed by the supervisor, with photographs before and after) and puts right any failed check free of charge within 48 hours.

How are visits to Khalifa City arranged?

Visits in Abu Dhabi are booked by appointment between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Call or send the form and we agree the earliest time a supervisor can come to you.
