How we carry out AC filter upgrade
Many split and ducted units leave the factory with a simple washable mesh that stops hair and coarse dust but lets fine sand and smoke through to the coil and the rooms. An upgrade means fitting a pleated filter that catches finer particles. The catch is that a denser filter resists airflow more, and a small fan in a fan coil or ducted unit may not be able to push air through it.
